Non-Government Coordination Organization Siem Reap

History of Non-Government Coordination in Siem Reap

The Non-Government Organization Coordination in Siem Reap works to “strengthen the network to collectively solve problems of communities toward good governance and better fundraising to get the network functional, in which this would increase the collective voice of NGOs” to influence policy development, decision-making processes, and practice to enable inclusive growth in the province.

Currently, the network has approximately 150 member organizations and is led by the network committee, which consists of 3 members: Rachna Satrei, LHA, and The Global Child. To ensure the operation and effectiveness of the network, NCN-SR has adopted a solid structure as described in the strategic plan, the bylaws, and the terms of reference for the network officials.

The Network Members expect growth in the capacity of NCN-SR members, learning and sharing of knowledge, growth in internal and external relationships, and growth in funding.

Ms. Phoung Maly Nhean

Ms. Phoung Maly Nhean

Chair of the NCN-SR
Ms. Phoung Maly Nhean is an acting Director of Rachna Satrei Organization, more than a decade she has been leading the Non-Government Coordination Network-Siem Reap (NCN-SR) while she has been acting as the Chair of the NCN-SR, she holds a Master Degree of Accounting Administration, and a General Management since 2005, currently she is a scholar of Public administration. Maly has built more networks with the Civil Society Organizations(CSOs) in Siem Reap, the National NGOs, and the International NGO Networks, as the Chair she represents a voice of more than 150 NGOs that work in different fields. She becomes very interested in Gender Mainstream, working to Promote Gender & Peace and more than that she aims all NGOs to integrate the Gender Awareness into their projects. Recently she started the SDGs Awareness Campaigns and the Implementation Workshops across provinces with the National NGOs in Cambodia. Maly is very committed to the CSO Networks, she’s been working in various projects in order to Strengthen the CSO Networks in Siem Reap and around the region.

Venerable Lorm Loeurm

Treasurer
Venerable Lorm Loeurm, the Buddhist monk who has been working at Life and Hope Association (LHA) in 2008 and was appointed as an Executive Director in 2014. Before that he worked in various positions such as a founder of Thlat Youth Organization, as a volunteer, a Project Manager, and a Program Manager for a few projects of LHA. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Management. LHA’s goal is to provide compassionate care and the opportunity of education to underprivileged people, especially women and children who are at risk to break the cycle of ignorance and poverty and to improve the quality of life through education. Anyway, LHA is like the center for translating the Buddha’s Teachings into Actions to the real practices in serving the needs of people. LHA plays as a Treasurer for NCN-SR Network.
